I just recently dug up my old space wolf models and am trying to put an army together using some of the models I have and models that I think look cool. So here goes.

Ragnar Blackmane 240 (a model I already own)

5 wolf Guard 255 (Not yet purchased but seem like a cool idea).

Thats what I have come up with.
I was thinking of using a wolf lord and a rune priest as well as a rune priest. However I have no idea how to build them so they are useful.
I have only played fantasy for almost 9 month so 40k is a bit foreign to me. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well fluff would see you with some blood claws probably, because thats who Ragnar normally rolls with. And some Wolf Guard. I'm racking my brain to think back to when I read the ragnar books.

Is this the kind of fluffy list, that you want to be fluffy because you don't want people to say its competitive/OP? Or fluffy because you've actually read the/some fluff and really like the idea of following that path? If its the first, then what ever you do, SW are going to be powerful, and still relatively fluffy. If its the second one, you should already have a good idea of what you need, and just want help optimising your options a little,

Like already said, Ragnar runs with Blood Claws. (Or at least thats what i'm led to believe). You could actually run a double Land Raider list, one with wolf guard, one with Ragnar and friends. But i'd be very delicate.

At the moment, you have a very very expensive squad, assuming Ragnar, the 5 Wolf Guard and Arjac are going in the LRC. Thats pretty much 950 points isn't it? (A little under, i could be way off, only quickly added in my head, and the time i'm spending telling you that I could have opened the calc and checked for certain).

Thats one way to make Space Wolves suck Its a pretty hard task, as everything is so good, but a squad that expensive, in one of only 3 tanks on the board... Any army with decent long range AT is going to stop that Land Raider, or blow it up. At the very least i'd drop Arjac, but i'd be tempted to begin with at least, dropping all Wolf Guard in place for blood claws, or PA wolf guard. They seem cool, but just because you want 'fluffy' doesn't mean you need to make a list that probably won't do very well against a lot of even not all that competitive armies. If you really like the Wolf Guard termies, i'd say drop the Long Fangs, extra armour on the rhinos, arjac and get a 3rd rhino squad. And just try to get across the board without your tanks blowing up.

I am aiming to eventually have a no named character list because some tournaments and some people just dont like playing against named characters, as well as I dont always want the big bosses to show up to every little battle.

By fluff I mean I dont want some just hard hitting list. I am aiming for something effective that sticks with the fluff, since that is what I have had the best times with my ba army.
I am not fluent in the space wolf fluff, but from what I know of the fluff is that space wolves have a lot of character and I like that.Not a huge fan of vanilla marines since everything is by the book all the time sort of deal where as space wolves do it their way.

5 ml long fangs with the leader.
5 lcs long fangs with leader
10 man unit of grey hunters 2 melta, pf
10 grey hunters 2 plasma, pf
2 additional flame thrower guys so I can switch out the special weapons.

I have a couple unbuilt guys as well that I could convert into wolf guard or wolf lords or what ever really.

I do want to include the ulrik the slayer model. Dosnt have to be used as him, I have liked that model since years and years ago.

If anyone can point me in the right direction or give me some suggestions for what would:
