Two Attack bikes (in a single squadron) are shooting at a Land Speeder.

One attack bike can see the land speeder through a window thus granting it a 4+ cover save.
The other attack bike is out in the open and can see fully the landspeeder.

Does the land speeder get a cover save for the shots?

The rulebook says that if the majority of models can shoot without the target being in cover save, the target has no cover save. But is 1 out of 2, the majority?

IMO, You would probably have to use the 'half or more models in the target unit' test. Since all of the models are in cover from half of the firers, that would be half or more.

#1 Attack bikes are never a squadron.

#2 The majority of the firing models need to have a clear shot, so this means more than half, from what the rules on P.22 say.

You know, I don't know why I let the 50% thing get me stuck. 50% isn't a majority, so the unit would get cover.

Thanks, DeathReaper.

DeathReaper is correct.

Attack Bikes aren't a squadron, they're a unit of 1-3 models. Squadron referes to vehicles, which Attack Bikes are not.

When being shot at, you need 50% or more of the models in cover to get a save (p22). When shooting, you need a majority to be able to see a majority of the target unit without cover to avoid the cover save (p22).

This is British English, not American English, so "majority" means "the most" (ie American "plurality"), but since there's only two options, you need more than 50%, not exactly 50%.

Yes the landspeeder gets cover. However if you choose to only fire the one bike in the open, it wouldn't.

personally, the way my FLGS plays it is you roll separately and the he gets a save against the other he does not

No offense to your FLGS, but that's absolutely the wrong way to play it.

Interesting house rule though. Adds a bit more realism, removes some of the "this model doesn't fire to deny your save" shenanigans, but would slow the game down considerably at times.
