I can't decide which army I should start next (if either)!
I owned 1500 points of each army, but sold them when the new codexes arrived, as what I owned was basically invalidated.
I'm wondering which people would recommend and why.
Currently, I own 2000 GK and 2000 DE. Both are built to be hyper competitive.
Thoughts?

Well do you want to play horde or elite? Melee or shooty? Monsterous creatures or vehicles?
If you answered the former on all questions: Nids, the latter: necrons.

I used to play Nidzilla and I genuinely miss that army.
Necrons have always been fun to me and the May releases look absolutely sick.

Yosh!  That's the solution we'd all love to have, but alas, sometimes it's not possible.
If I had to chose, I'd go with Necrons, simply because I see many more diverse builds with them than I do with nids. Just my two cents.

I agree, Necrons have a lot more viable options, and fewer hard counters...but I like Robbie's solution too.
