So where are people getting all the missile launchers from when they run a 5x missile launcher long fang group??

Their has to be a better way then buying 5 boxes of dev squads to achieve this...

Green stuff and hunter killer missiles work to.

Others go out and pick up some plastic tubing and make an infinite number of their own. I've also seen missile launcher emplacements using the Sentinel missile launcher bit with squad members acting as loader/aimer types to bulk out the unit. Having just read the latest Dan Abnett book I also quite like the idea of marines having heavy combat servitors slaved to marine controllers.

I may also have seen attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, but I was pretty drunk that time

There is one in every tactical squad box. Non-SW marine players should be able to pelt you with the stuff 'til you bleed.

Im curious, as a vanilla marine player, I still use ML on my tactical squads and would find it difficult to part with them.
What is so much better than ML on tactical squads that make them not worth fielding?
Is there something im missing?

Maybe Multi-melta when playing Vulkan, especially in drop pods. Aside from that... nothing else.

For my long fangs I just bought a bunch of Hunter Killer Missiles off of E Bay rather cheap... if memory serves me, it was around $1.00 US ea.

A left sword arm can be cut at the hilt to mount your hunter killer and the back rests on the shoulder pad.

On a side note, if you are wanting to run Wolf Guard and find that you are having trouble making WYSIWYG Combi Melta(s)... I just went to a hobby store ie: [Hobby Lobby] [Michaels] and bought these little round necklace clasps (barrel)... anyways, here is a WIP pic

It isn't that the other heavy weapon options were better, it is that if you have 3 or more tactical squads, why would you want to paint the same heavy weapon on each? Yes, if what matters most to you is effectiveness, you may argue that the ML were the best option and should therefore be chosen for every tac squad. But I like some variety, so I have exactly one (1) tactical squad with a missile launcher, the rest have other options. Maybe, if I do get to the sixth tactical squad, I'll choose the ML again. Or maybe not, because maybe I'll just go for another HB because it looks cooler.
