1850 Warhammer 40k Tournament

3 Games, with missions using elements from the standard missions in the books, and possibly a couple of twists.
All models must be painted to a 3 color minimum and be based.
Imperial Armor units allowed as per the Adepticon Friendly 40k rules. Check them out here: http://www.adepticon.org/12rules/201240KIAApoc.pdf

This is an experiment, we'll see how things go. To use these rules, you must have the correct model. Either from FW, or a damn fine looking conversion. You must also own the rules, either the appropriate IA Book, or a PDF download from ForgeWorld.
(NO ILLEGAL PIRATE DOWNLOADS IN THE STORE!) You must bring the rules with you.

IA army lists allowed one a per person basis. Ask mike about it. Actually owning the correct models will help you get permission for this.)

Prizes based on attendance, with the 15.00 entry fee going toward prizes.

Lunch is included in the entry fee, and bottled water. I'm thinking pulled pork sandwhiches, but might be sirloin with french dip.

If Eric and Andrew are heading up, I may have to get off of work for this. The food is a great selling point, keeps the total cost of the day very reasonable even with the travel time.

As for the apoc, for those that own the stuff it will be nice to bring it out, though I have very little of it. Having the rules to hand to the opponent is key, of course, as I dont think I have even touched an imperial armour book in the past few years.

I'll be heading up from DC along with Andrew and Scooter. From what I hear, Pete and Lou from Warmongers will be making the trip as well. Mike's events are always great, and I can't wait for this one.

Mike, can we have a lunch option without pork? If not, it's no big deal.

Hey Mike! I'll make sure to make an announcement about this event at our Kill Teams tournament the week before this to try to get a few more players out your way! Any chance, though, that the lunch option could include something vegetarian? I'm vegan, and a few of my other 40K friends are at least vegetarian, and it would be a bummer to have lunch built into our admission cost only to arrive and realize there's nothing there we could eat.

Kirika, the link that Mike posted has all apoc units in it, with brackets for what can be used in what kind of format.

This event counts as 'Friendly' so if you see your IA/apoc unit with the "Friendly" tag then your good... that said, I dont think there are any friendly superheavys listed, but I didnt go through the list much (since I dont have any of it).

Sorry, been busy, didn't check the boards. Adepticon followed by monthly Previews orders, the big Auction, and then.....My twins give me some Nurgles Death Rot that's knocked me out for a couple of days.)

Originally Scooter wanted to host ICGT up at my place, but the plans got moved around. Would have been an IC event, with me just showing up to cook. There's no one left at GW that even cares about the GT's, and trying to get them to take it off the schedule without Ed there would have been like pounding your head through a rock wall. I think Scooter tried, but looks like it's still on there.

So, 1 day event. I always have a couple of things out. For folks that don't eat Pork I'll have something else to make sandwiches out of.

With the collapse of the Indy GT circuit, and hardboyz, I'm going back to running a 40k/FOW/WFB/Warmahordes event about once a month. Capacity is 40 people. You can pay early on the website, or just show up day of. Should have plenty of space.

So, they cancelled the ICGT completely then? Bummer! But I will be making it up to your store soon, anyway... if not before then, definitely for DakkaCon.

I'd actually be all over this event if I had 1850 points of 40k done, but I just have the 1000 point army from Adepticon that I need to expand out (hopefully will be done by early summer).

Mike, I don't know about your locals, but there' s a bunch of people down here planning on going.....how much room do you have? I'm gonna prepay tonight.

I think I'm going to come down for this with Brad and Rich. Do you have a limit on how many slots there are, and is it close to filling up?

Quite a bit of room. Always set up for 24, and can go to 38, and that's keeping most of it at 8' tables, up to 50 if I do 6's.

Loads of room. Prepays are guaranteed a spot, but since no one prepays, I never really have a good head count until the day of.)
