Who are those regular human chaos guys? They kind of look like Guardsmen?

The lost and the damned, presumably renegade guardsmen or simple cultists. Not everyone that works for chaos is an 8 foot walking tank, even regular humans have something to gain from Chaos.

Lol I know not just Space Marine's are capable of turning to chaos but I was just wondering who they are specifically. Obviously just random shmucks that turned to chaos and were outfitted with gear

I would say the population of the forge world. The attack came from inside cult cells IIRC, so some guardsmen might/most probably did get corrupted.

They were corrupted that fast?? I mean, the false Inquisitor had just barely opened the warp portal and these corrupted humans started flowing out. Before that it was just Human vs Ork

oh yeah tahts right (palyed that game a loooooooooooong time ago). My revised guess would be cultist of deamons warlord from a deamon planet (read the GK omnibus 3rd book, you'll see that there are a lot of humans in the warp). My guess would be, again, cultists, the cannon fodder of the warsmith that leads the chaos forces. For example, in storm of iron, the iron warriors uses cultist (and converted local population) to attack the castle as cannon fodder while the chaos marines do surgical strikes.

They're a horde of cultists/traitor Guard. CSM typically use large numbers of these guys as cannon fodder/slaves, especially the Word Bearers and Alpha Legion.

Their design is based off the Vraksian Renegade militia models produced by Forgeworld:

If I understand this correctly, you wonder why the orks didnt team up with the IoM to kill the chaos scums?

First of all, int he 1st chapter of the game, you (sm Captain) almsot killz the WarBoss and destroy a couple of Ork aircraft so the Ork warboss REALLLLYYYY hate you. My second point is that the orks LOVE killing stuff. They didn't see the chaos guys as a hinder, tehy saw more skull to smash and a bigger challenge! Ork love fighting, more guys means more fighting!!!

so overall, the warboss didnt liek the sm captain and they just want to smash skullz

lol, the only reason i do is that I play them,a nd even then, I don't totally understand them as each tribe works a littel differently depending on the leader.

If you see orks, just remember, they want to fight! They want to fight so much they often fight between themselves because they are bored...

Orks don't have to make sense. I think that's actually an Ork proverb.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

There is usually chaos cults popping up before a chaos incursion thats who those heretics were, outfitting them shouldnt be a problem especially on a forge world.

Random cultists. Cannon fodder. Heretical Guardsmen. Chaos-worshipping Stormtroopers that Nemeroth respected enough to allow them to hang out in the Warp with his guys.

At the end of the day, to a Space Marine, the matter is simple: they're Chaos-worshippers. Burn.

That's not entirely true, they'll also kill each other if they isn't anything else to do!

Actually, the guardsmen you fight in space marine. Have been corrupted by chaos long before the game. Just like chaos space marine some chaos guardsmen just chill in the warp until needed.
