nice models; makes me want to pick up a box for my own salamanders army :p how'd you do the base? was it sprayed with an air brush or just different colors of spray paint? it's a nice effect.

The bases were airbrushed, I followed a tutorial I found on youtube. ( http://buypainted.com/index.php/warhammer/chaos-daemons/how-to-make-lava-bases/)

I'm going to expand the unit to 10 man strong by adding 2 heavy flamer troopers and 3 more combi-meltas that way they can tackle any role i need them to.

Unpainted heavy flamer trooper below, still needs to get cleaned up before I prime him

I'm trying to figure out a good way to add a backpack mounted tank, so if anyone has any ideas they would be welcome.

Perhaps use Melta Bombs, or the tanks from the IG Hacked up.

Maybe this. Also a double tank that may be useful in the Trukk kit.

And remember, 3rd Companies can be your friends.

someone posted a terminator with customized heavy flamer a couple months back and it included back-mounted tanks. I want to say the tanks were from an IG kit, but I can't remember for sure.

Thanks for the suggestions, here's an update on how the heavy flamer sternguard guy is looking.

Using some more pieces from the gray knights box

Also my order of conversion pieces for the heavy flamers came in, when I'm done I'll post pictures of all 6
