Imperial warships don't hold Titans, the Mechanicus use specialized bulk transporters for Titans.

An Emperor Class Battleship can probably hold 100,000+ Guardsmen though.

Depends on the ship, the largest of Imperial ships are pretty damn big
Spoiler:
they can carry entire regiments of IG, I think in the DE codex it was said that the DE managed to disable and sneak one in to the webway, it had 1.5 million people on it IG and Imperial Navy. The titans are a different story however, they are too damn big for normal cargo bays, so I imagine the ship needs to be specifically designed to carry them. The titan legions do need to get to the battlefield somehow, so they probably have special ships of their own.

Ships during the Great Crusade were less likely to be STC patterns and more likely to be existing relics from before the Age of Strife, or one-off designs from back when the Ad Mech bothered creating new things. A battleship that was snapped up by one of the Legions to use as a flagship is even more likely to have been uniquely kick-arse. So that doesn't make the best comparison to a "modern" Imperial battleship.

Also, while battleships are totally big enough to carry titans somewhere on board, the problem is getting them on and off the ship, and to and from the planet's surface. The Ad Mech use special (read: very very big) bulk landers to land their titans that wouldn't necessarily fit in the hangars on board a battleship.

So yeah, maybe the Vengeful Spirit could carry titans, but Pre-Heresy tech isn't really representative of the Imperium in the 41st Millennium.

Battleships don't generally carry ground troops, after the reorganization that separated the Guard from the Navy specialized Imperial Guard bulk transports were brought into service. I expect they could carry as many troops as you needed them to.

A Warp-capable ship in the Imperium carries between tens of thousands to just over a hundred thousand people, a healthy chunk of which will be the ship's crew.... though the Universe-class Mass Conveyor can potentially carry half a million people, with a crew of 60,000 people.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Some of the ship sizes in that link are broken, especially the mass conveyer.
