Hey so Im am currently in the process of putting together a Nurgle army in readyness of the new Chaos dex/6ed.

So I want a badass daemon to lead the army. However, Im not sure what model to use. I have already crossed out the plastic Daemon Prince, Be'Lakor and Balrog because they dont fit the aesthetic Im after. I am not going to use
the Nurgle Daemon Prince becase, well, it looks rubbish. I have come up with two alternatives.

- Hill Troll Chieftain Buhrdur - http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1500563a
He looks big, ugly and kinda bloated without being comical like the current Nurgle Prince. With a little Greenstuff I reckon he could look the part.

- Skaven Exalted Vermin Lord - http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer/Skaven/SKAVEN-EXALTED-VERMIN-LORD.html
Not exactly a green blob but I think a giant rat screams disease just as well. Plus then I could have little rats on the bases of my plague marines and it would tie together.

So, opinions? Which would be better? Do you have a differant alternative?

I like the Vermin Lord out of those two.

But you've gotta use the gentleman's outfit... cause it's just awesome.

Id go with the skaven guy and put huge bat wings on him, and have slime dripping from his teeth. The troll model looks much smaller.

Everyone loves Gentleman Deamon. I've actually been building a small list based on him, using zombies from Studio Miniatures.

Zombie Mobs for Plague Bearers, Tiny Terrors for Nurglings, and some of the not-Left-4-Dead miniatures for Bloodletters & those shooty Tzeench units.

Have you considered any of the Banelord models?

Gentleman Jabba the Hut is probably the best, but there are other non-GW alternatives, e.g.

I've used that as the base of a Nurgle DP conversion:

If its the two from GW I'd go with the Skaven.

Otherwise, The gentleman demon lord from Puppets War all the way.

Course, I don't take my gaming seriously at all.

Mine's based on Battle Brother Artemis from the Inquisitor range - takes a bit of work to chaosify him, but he's a bit bigger and substantially more dynamic than most of the alternatives
