Hi there!

I have been absent from the hobby for a long time, definitely out of practice with the brush, but when a friend of mine wanted to start 40k with me I got sucked back in. So my friend likes tyranids a lot and I on the other hand like imperial guard, what's more cuter than xenos vs imperium <:? With the start of a new army, I thought why not stop lurking on Dakka and actually post!

Being a collector first and a gamer second I'm not entirely going for an optimised force. But it was hard to go past the valkyries!
So my current 1000points armylist looks something like this:
Spoiler:

CCS, 4 melta in a chimera
PCS, 4 flamer in a chimera
IS, granade launcher, autocannon
IS, granade launcher, autocannon
Veteran Squad, 3 melta, 6 shotguns in a Vendetta
Veteran Squad, 3 plasma, in a chimera
Vendetta
Griffon
Lemanruss, lascannon

Ok so now, some pics.
I've gone for a purple scheme, with yellow armor. I'm just tired of all the green/brown schemed IG armies . The tank is still WIP so more photos of it when it's finished. I've couple xenos in my army as high ranked officers / veterans (they've earned their position through valuable information and/or with outstanding performance in the battlefield) It's interesting how some things come back to you, but I'm certainly rusty! And sorry for bad photos, my camera is not the best, neither is the area where I'm taking the photos . C&C is welcome!

On the infantry it looks good. Those poor tanks though...

Chipped yellow is my current favourite thing, it looks great. The tank is a bit too purple for me though.

Why is there a Tau fighting with the Guardsmen?

Awesome. Like the chipped paint on the guardsmen armour.

Why is there a Tau fighting with the Guardsmen?

Forget the Tau, there's an Ork in there!

Tau & Orks in the Guard??? I have just one thing to say *Puts on Commissar cap* HERESY!!!!! *BLAM*

I like the scheme for the infantry troopers but the tanks are quite a pain sadly. Paint the hulls in a solid colour or a camo scheme and it'll be good. Splitting it up like that is... odd.

I actually Love that scheme and how they look. Can't wait to see more.

Cheers, the tank is still WIP like it says above

Gotta agree with that! Less purple for the tank!

I'm probably going for Black / Purple / Yellow camo for the tanks. Or only yellow and black dunno yet. Like I said, I have been on a hiatus for some time and this is first tank I've painted in a looong time so I'm sorry for that . But ty for the idea and I totally agree!

Thank you, glad you like it

So next I'm going to fix the tank, probably making some neat camo with airbrush
And thanks for all the C&C
