Imagine how annoyed you'd be if you got there in the nether, made a portal to the overworld and it still linked with the closest overworld portal, about 799 hours in the opposite direction of where you wanted to come out.

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.

WHERE HAVE MY WORLDS GONE??????????
I have just logged on to SSP, and found that I think 2 of my worlds have dissapeared, my best ones!!
Is this a known problem? Is there a fix?
I WANT MY WORLD BACK!!!!!

Also, on multi player, is the area of clay opposite the dakka town wall natural, or is it someones i'm only asking because there is a lot of it, and I don't want to wreck someones project.

If you have windows 7, type into the start search bar '%appdata%' and click on the '.minecraft' file. Click on 'saves' and then leave that open. Next, search the name of your world into the search bar.When you find it, drag the folder into the 'saves' file. Reload Minecraft and it might be there. Just find the world and drag it into the 'saves' file. That is all. If its not there, try scrolling through your worlds. You may have got to page 2. If it is not there, it could be deleted for good.
Oh one other thing, have you tried shutting it down and rebooting it?

I found the 'saves' file, and my worlds were all still in there. Minecraft can't see them though.

Do you have any addons or mods installed, Raptor? Try disabling all of them. I had a world that I wasn't able to load once. I could see it, but it would freeze when it would try to load mods. Disabling the mod fixed the problem.

I just started a new world, and spawned next to a massive, one block square, tower of gravel possibly to the sky limit.

Try making copies of your worlds, and then reinstalling minecraft. Then put your saves back in the save folder.

I have now done that, still nothing. Any more Ideas? Getting kind of desperate here. I spent a very long time on that save.
