That's still a month of walking. Assuming a ghast doesn't find you along the way.

Plus, if you corrupt the dakka save file you're going to upset a lot of people.

helm's deep will be on the dakka server. The plan is to find a large cliff/make a decent sized one bigger, get the caves for the women adn children and use as a temporary base, then basically expand outwards, from the keep, to the keep's wall, to the inner wall, to the outer wall and the deeping wall to the causeway.

meh. If we are careful, avoid lava/build cobble bridges with rails and bring lots of bowls, we should be good.
corrupt the save file? That would be bad. Lego? Could dakka handle a trip to the farlands?

If a single player save file can be corrupted by travelling to the farlands, what are the chances of the SMP code being able to handle it?

right. is there a specific co-ord that you have to go, or is it just roughly, say, within 100 blocks?
because if we travel a certain distance, then wait for a server reset, then finish off the trip, it could just be rolled back, say, 30 minutes previous.

The wiki says that it would take 800+ hours to walk to the end… I don't think you will make it XD
