Next I want to start getting some AV14 saturation as well. I think 3 Av14s should do the trick.
I'm planning to always increase my foot squads by 4-5 IS per 1000pts.


Are there any obvious weakpoints in this list? If I had to pick one, I'd say DS melee. As well, if everyone/anyone could post a list(any codex) that they would run to counter/crush this one it would help tremendously, even if I don't know the details of your codex well.

Nice list. I run my ccs the same way, LC vox and reg standard. I take two of them.

I would never take off the multilaser off the chimeras. Why trade 3 str 6 shots for 3 str 5 shots? Keep either flamers or hbolters on the hull depending on what you are planning on doing with them

I also run 3 x av14 in the form of 2 x LRBT and 1 Demolisher. Usually works well. Except against necrons.

I've thought about what you wrote and thought about the list with a fresh mind and this is what I changed it to:

I parked the Chimera for the RS back and pocketed the 40pts. Then gave my blob some teeth, with PWs for all. I think this gives the blob the option to do some smashin. GLs work just as well charging. What's not to love? 30" assault lasgun blast, for 5 pts, or str6 on AV10, and AP4 for Tau/Eldar killing

As for why I would replace the ML with a HB, it's AP4 for synergy with the GLs. Also, If I were to include the ML with the HBs the different AP may screw up wounding. Having all HBs, the Chimera has a clear target group, Light Infantry. If I had the ML I may be tempted to shoot at the AV11 side armour that just appeared but waste all the HB shots.

The multi laser is a better option. Trust me. Other than that it's similar to what I run. Except I pair my gl blob with autocannons. But otherwise decent. Only thing it's really lacking is lascannons. I feel like you need just a few more, you only have two and one at bs 3. You will have a hard time with av14.

I'm going to stubbornly try the HBs for now if/when it's inadequate I'll swap to MLs for sure.

I'll check out what the local gaming scene is like before I decide to spec more for AV14 and substitue LCs. Personally I'd rather use Meltas against AV14 then LCs and I'm willing to try MLs in their stead.
