So, Because im lazy, I want to order the new finecast marines online(and because it is no guarantee my store will get the ones i want)
So how does advance ordering work? On the day they get released do they arrive at my house?

Not anymore, now they send it when its released.

Here's what the "Advance Order" little 'Help' tab on their site says:

If you place your order on the weekend before the release day and ship it to your local Hobby Centre, we guarantee it will be there for you on the day of release. If you choose to ship to another address and place your order by the Wednesday before release we will ship this on Friday. All other orders will ship on the Monday after the release day.

What that means is this:
If you place your order on the weekend that preorders are announced and select it to be shipped to your local shop:
It will be there for you to pick up, the Saturday it is released(if ordering for pick-up at a GW shop) and whenever it gets in stock at an independent.

If you choose to have it shipped to your house and have it shipped from the time preorders are announced to the Wednesday of the week where the release would be: they will ship your preorder out on Friday(you'll likely get it the following Monday or if you live close enough to Memphis on Saturday).
If you order on Thursday or anytime afterwards, your order will go out on the Monday after the release.

Your local independent should feasibly be able to order the specific things you want for you, however.

SO i asked, They cant it it there that day.
Now i have to figure out how to get the models i want on release day.

So why would you do this and not just but the models the day they come out (giving my understanding that all advanced ordering does is mean that you have a guaranteed product that day)? 0.o

Because,I want to make sure i get the ones i want, my store doesnt always carry them.

Different question - why is it so important you get them on release day, given they are rereleases of old models in a different material? Would the couple of days delay if you ordered them via GW to be delivered to your home really cause the end of the world as we know it?

YES, Beside i would like too because i would like to work on them during the weekend.
