Horrific Howling Banshee

Hey guys! I've been trying to convert up some warp spiders out of plastic for years now, and just finally found a means and the drive to get some pretty decent results! Here's the test run guy:

He's a little bit rough around the edges, but not too much for a prototype. It's Guardian body and head with the ends of some of the back...stick things...to make it look like the real deal. The back pack is green stuff. This has been my biggest problem and I found a solution through instant mold. The results weren't perfect and I've had to do a fair bit of shaving trimming and re-sculpting, but it's waaaay easier than starting from scratch. The gems might be a little big, but I like them. Eldar are Showy!

The gun is a catapult with a DE shredder barrel and a butt stock and ammo replacement from more back sticks. I wanted less of a huge awkward cannon look and more of a carbine, which I think I got.
I'll be making a full squad up when I have the a parts I need.

Whadya think??

I saw something similar to this a couple of years ago except with a Dark Reaper gun.
I like the conversion and the paintjob.

looks fantastic. Dunno why but the only thing I'd maybe add is some more tubes running from the back carapace to the gun, to give the gun a more 'heavy duty' feel.

love the paint scheme. My only recommendation would be to paint the helmet ( or just the face plate portion) a different color to really make the models stand out. Perhaps an Ice Blue, White or Grey would look good. Your decision, but good work anyway.

4250 points of Blood Angels goodness, sweet and silky W12-L6-D4
1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress
800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard
650 points of my do-it-yourself Tempest Guard
675 points of Commoraghs finest!

Lord Helmet - "I bet she gives great helmet."

Lost in Australia, somewhere.

I'd be keen to see an un-painted version, too, just to see where all your hard work went.

Looks pretty awesome, the color scheme is very cool, and the gem size is totally appropriate, I personally dislike when it looks like itty bitty marbles in armor ._.
But maybe some runes on the backpack, or tubes and other gubbins?
Either way, looks very good

I'm diggin' it, but I agree the gun could be a little bulkier. Otherwise, great job!
