I play occasionally, but I am terrible at competitive RTSs. I just like to build big armies and cities. I've never really looked into the tactics and strategy for them outside simple counters.

I stopped playing DoW1 a long time ago. Sadly, I can't really enjoy its mechanics compared to DoW2.
But there's steam groups of people who still play, shoudln't be hard to find.

Well my DoW2 has glitched, I loaded the chaos rising and my other one was deleted. It doesn't work anymore and my live isn't working.
Anyway I prefer the DOW1 mechanics. More strategic IMO.
Steam seems to just be a menace for me.

I only play using mods and single-player now, mainly because I play to see how many Tyranids I can let the AI run into a chokepoint and have die before I get bored and decide to nuke their bases.
The mods just help me by giving me more options to use when doing it.

Every now and then and I resurrect an old modding initiative of mine(C2C models, new units, revised flavor of some factions, like Dark Eldar with webway access and Chaos patron dedication), but I always end up losing interest along the way...
Dawn of War I has a special place in my heart, and is still a fun game to play(and feth, I just want to buy the guy who did the IG voices in DoW 1 a lifetime supply of beer).
