I'm really glad you enjoyed it, I spend a lot of time making these.

What do people think of the tactics used? I usually run a Mech Ork list and my opponent tailored his force in anticipation of this, I think he would have been far better off with Scatter Lasers on his walkers rather than lances.

I also think I should have dropped one unit of Lootas and run a unit of commandos. What do you think?

i enjoyed it,

It's nice seeing some one run a foot army.

I'd stick with the lootas personally, Komamdos are fun but you can't guarnatee they'll turn up when and where you need them. Saying that it if you got them might be worth ago

PM me and ask me about Warpath Wargames Norwich or send me an email

Was the text easy to read? Some people have complained the words were to small, the boxes faded too quickly and the white text was hard to read over a white background.... what do you guys think?

where am I? *looks around* Well i'm...errr...I...I...don't know!

Yes to the white text over white background. That was horrible to read.
As for the report, the orks did what orks do best (I hate KFF with a vengence)! And the eldar lost themselves that game, while the shooting was unfortunate first time round, sending half their number into assault range that early was just stupid. Teh serpents should have waited until the orks had broken up slightly more before launching into their face...

Nice, a few shots of the actual battlefield and the miniatures would really be cool to spice it up, too if you can manage that.

Awwww yeah! I love your animated batreps

We are going to replay this battle next month, what changes would you advise both forces to make to their army lists?

Excellent batrep. I really like the whole animated format. It is always amusing to see the most advanced(arguably) race in the galaxy getting stomped by the most primitive....on foot no less! Very well done.
As far as army changes go, perhaps the Eldar player could try some banshees for some assault options. A wraith lord might also be fun.
For da orks, maybe swapping a squad of lootas for a squad of kommandos(with Snikrot, of course) would be fun. This would give your opponents fire base something to worry about.
Anyway, that's my two cents. Definitely looking forward to your future reports.

First things first, loved the battle report. It was well made and gave a clear story to the battle.

Second, can't believe the Eldar player played that poorly. That said, credit has to go to the Ork player for taking advantage of those missteps.

Anyways, subscribed!

6th Ed Eldar - 4/2/5

"The warhost on the hill was one of the most bizzare sights I had ever seen on a battlefield... Xenos, daemons and humans collected together in units together, gripping dice and paintbrushes; Orks, humans and creatures for which I had no name, clad in ancient armour and clothing; steam-powered walkers with antique-armoured assistants; and many bizarre war-machines, many of which had no purpose that I understood.
An Eldar, bizarrely dressed in a customised suit of power armour and standing on a shield borne by two servants, was carried forth out of the crowd. Raising his Daemon weapon, he shouted three abrupt words:
"Thin! YOUR! PAINTS!"
With that, every member of the warhost screamed out their own battlecry; only a few that I heard were "WOLVES FOR THE WOLF GOD, WOLVES FOR THE WOLF THRONE!", "METAL BAWKSES!", and, strangest of all, "CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!". However, after a few seconds, all these shouts were replaced with a single, simultaneous battlecry:
"DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA! 'ERE WE GO, 'ERE WE GO, 'ERE WE GO!" Upon shouting this, the entire army charged down the hill, guns blazing." - extract from the report of Colonel Montague, Cadian 12th, on the "Gugalle Incident".

The images of the tanks and terrain are from Vassal 40k.

In my next game my opponent will run an 1850 Mech list with lost of Avengers, I was thinking of running an Dred Bash list cos i like the models and want to get a chance to use them, but I'm pretty sure I'll get out maneuver, what do you think?

A dread bash list sounds like fun, but against mech eldar I just don't think the dreads will be around for all that long, even with the obligatory KFF. After they are gone, you would almost certainly get out maneuvered. On the other hand, against mech eldar, 2x15 lootas...
