So its a simple question. Can you do snipe on captain Gunnbjorn and also have Farstrike from the impaler? I mean they are two different spells but they do the same thing.

Answer is no because they have the same name effect. (ie, Far
Strike gives you Snipe, therefore you can't benefit from both).
TECHNICALLY, you can have both effects up since one is an
animus and one is a spell. However, you will still only get 4"
extra range because they are the same name effect.
