Just looking for C&C for my daemon prince. Obviously I am still working on it, but I am pretty much done with the skin, and most the bone areas. Just wanted to know what people thought on the job so far, any suggestions on painting and base design would be great. Thanks for taking a look.

Fine painting, but there's honestly nothing to identify him as a Thousand Son.

the skin is looking good, but you really still need to do the armor as it looks really flat...

and i have to agree with lord_blackfang, there's nothing there that ties him in to the thousand sons.
maybe you can still manage to do that with the base though. or some egyptian style markings on his body and armor

Great work Sir, but may I ask how you did that skin ? I have been waiting to paint my Word Bearers Daemon Prince but I have had no idea for skin that isn't red until now.

How about the blue shoulder pads and the brownish looking trim which I would assume is a base colour for yellow or gold.

I understand that he does not look thousand sons like at the moment, when I am done the armour will have more depth, the trim around the armour will be gold not brown, the brown is just a base coat for the gold, I planned on having some the the recesses in the armour use OSL in maybe a light blue or green.

@IXLoiero95XI - thanks for seeing the time i put in on the skin. I used codex grey and fortress grey, the darker of the two is the base coat and the lighter of the two went of top, I always forget which one is which, after that I did two or three coats of black ink over all the skin, I havent gotten to it yet but I will the highlighting some of the skin. Oh and the lighter grey was not used on the membrane part of the wings, I wanted those a little darker

Oh and thanks everyone for the comments and remember this is a WIP, and any basing ideas, I was thinking just doing sand with a bit of dead grass flock, as most my Thousand sons are already based and I dont particulary feel like taking them back off to base them
