i agree with mephiston i say blood crushers win because if blood charge they get st 6 power weapons i say wraith guard winds because they instant kill on a 2+ and agree with leman rus but i say cenopek wraths would win as well

I dunno, would Mephiston win that easily? He'd pretty easily kill a regular hive tyrant, but a Swarmlord...WS9 vs. Mephiston's 7, 5 wounds and a 4+ invul save in close combat is pretty hard to crack, unless you count on a successful force weapon roll, but that's risky with shadow in the warp. There's a hefty amount of dependency on luck in that assault, IMO, although Mephiston getting the charge would at least help with the chances.

well then have someone test it get a monsterous creature model (or a drednought) with swarm lord rules and get a infantry base model have them fight 3 times and the winner who wins the most is the winner

Swarmlord has a much better chance of winning, he only needs to score a single wound on Mephiston. If he gets Tyrant Guard too (with Lash Whips), then he's basically guaranteed to win. Also, Ghazzy Vs. Swarmlord. That's one of the only even things you can put with the SL.

I am saddened by the lack of TWC in the Fast Attack slot...
They contest practically any other choice i can think of for FA...
That said i can't think of many FA choices of the top of my head...
Tomb Blades are pretty nice but not cheese really...

Actually, in regards to the force weapon test, I don't think it gets the invul because it says in the codex it's in combat, not universal. I could be wrong though, but I'm pretty sure if it doesn't specify against psychic attacks as well, which I'm pretty sure the force weapon attack is, it at least has that possibility.

The force weapon affects his close combat attacks, hence he gets the invul vs the attacks. I was referring the Shadow in the Warp there though, it means Mephiston has a 50% chance of failing the test.

I know that, I referred to that earlier myself, but what I'm saying is, is the force weapon an actual combat attack? For some reason I doubt that. He gets the invul against regular combat attacks, yes, but even one failed invul opens the door to the force weapon which I'm not entirely convinced can be nullified.

Odds are the swarmlord has a guard or two with him so the match up needs to be clear whether or not this is acceptable. With guards Meph has little chance. Swarm SitW is a huge advantage too. I vote swarm. His WS is amazing, he gets plenty of attacks and all he needs is one to get through. He strikes first if his lash whip guards are acceptable.

Probably the wrong thread, but

Swarmlord would win 4/5 times, unless he wiffs on his attacks, he should be able to kill mephiston before he can hit (assuming he has a higher initiative, i dont know them off the top of my head)

And I believe that Broadsides would win over LRBTs. They have AP1 TL Railguns, 2+ armor saves, can take Shield Drones for a 4++, and with Advanced Stabilizers they can move and shoot in the same turn.

Mephiston is an iffy matchup for pretty much that reason. I'd like to see how the Sanguinor would do though, that'd be interesting lol, so long as he doesn't get in contact with lash-whips

I personally think Vect could take Mephiston

Considering Mephiston's fluff it's interesting that he doesn't have Eternal Warrior, but that would put him way over the top XD

Vect would probably do well against Mephiston, the only worry is that Mephiston will kill him in 1 shot if he fails his 2+ save. And I think the Swarmlord would destroy the Sanguinor too.
