I play BA ans SW and i think that the space woklves should have a rule like the red thrist, but instead a model in that unit should get the mark of the wulfen, to represent them falling to the canis helix gene.

Fell free to amend the rule, as i would be grateful to hear suggestions

I wouldn't say it's a bad suggestion, as the Wulfen-curse does seem to arise largely as a result of 'stress' and could therefore make more sense than simply buying it...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Maybe if a Ld test is failed on a double 6, one model gains the MotW.
In which case, you could also force a Leadership test (solely for this purpose; it wouldn't cause them to fall back if failed) when an assault/counter-assault is launched.

However, frankly MotW is a very handy thing to have and the Space Wolves don't really need more boosts.
Understandably, Kelly seemed to focus on the viking aspect, rather than werewolf aspect of the Space Wolves.

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

AFAIK the Mark is supposed to represent those vulnerable to the curse. Presumably this means the rest of the chapter is somewhat more resilient to the curse so having more than 1 model per unit (Even that) is a bit much...

You could have it similar to the old school BA death company rules. It was something like before the game roll off for each unit, on a 1 a random member of that unit joins the DC for that game, losing all equipment for a CCW&BP or something like that...You could do the same but use the old wulfen rules from the EOT campaign (may have to edit those rules, can't remember if they were well balanced or not). I think that'd be fun.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Thinking about it giving one member of a squad MotW would be a bit cheesy but putting one member in every squad into a different squad is probably a better one.

Its not necessarily one member, its only if they let their wulfen gene get the better of them (fail the roll)
