Greetings Dakka, So on an impulse i picked up a realm of battle tile, the hill section with the stone pathway, to do a new armys on parade set up. This will be my first attempt at it and as it sits, i have two currents thoughts of what i might like to do, But i cant decide which to work on. Both would be starting a new force from scratch.

The first idea a Dark Eldar raid out of a large webway gate above an imperial city. Afew of the ideas that i want to work into this set up would be Reavers racing out of the open portal, having one cut in half as it emerges out of the vortex. Have the jets streaking across the sky firing off missiles, Have a talos ripping into one of the buildings, and letting Wyches pour in thru the breach. I had intended to do a Dark Eldar army to play with as it was, so this is tempting for me to want to just out right get started with, But the second idea throws abit of a problem into that.

The second idea was a Necron force lead by Trazen. Have him standing infront of the honored imperium marine statue, flanked by lychguard up on the hill. Again have a few buildings down below. Have one of the new wraiths phased thru one of the buiildings, attacking a lone marine/guardsmen. Aswell as having a unit of warriors 'patrolling' one of the other streets. This idea sounds like more fun to build, but while i had a bit of an interest in starting a necron army, i was more interested in doing the dark eldar.

What i guess i would like to see is what you all think of these two ideas, and which you would rather see, and if you have any thoughts to add to either set-up to improove it?

So i've gotten to work on my Display board for my upcoming force. I've gotten it all painted up the way that i wanted it, though i still have yet to decide where to go with it from here, Dark Eldar or Necrons. Atleast im showing some progress.. right?

Both sound like great ideas, but if you can pull off the DE webway portal that could look incredible and I think it would give you more creative possibilities than the crons. Good luck and looking forward to seeing more progress.
