I just got it this morning and I must say, its really good. Seems more like an interactive comic book then a game. Anyone else playing this??

Does it follow the comic or the TV series?

Never read the comic, but I can tell you so far, theres only 2 people from the show. Herschel is only in it breifly, and Glenn is so far, in it a bit.

I havnt had time to play it today, maybe I will here shortly. So it follows closely to the comic? Or just closer then the show did?

I've not read the comic, but its supposedly independent of both, with some of the characters from the comics popping up briefly.

Its a good solution I think, as it keeps some continuity without really interfering with existing material.

Then again I bought the game on a whim when drunk, so what do I know?

It's its own story but is set in the comic book continuity. The TV show is its own "universe" so to speak.

I got this for my GF, as she loves anything zombie related (especially walking dead). From watching her play the game, it does look VERY awesome, and very much like an interactive comic book, as opposed to most other zombie games.

From my understanding it is set before the events of the comic take place, but in the same locations. I've watched the show, mainly to marvel in wonder at the stupid decisions. For me, Comic Series>Game>TV show

The high prices also make the game more cinematic, just like going to the cinema!

I'd agree with that order. If you recall Rick is in a coma for a month. The game takes place in that time period when Rick is snoozing.

Im hoping if push comes to shove a schedule like that wont compromise quality.

Doing it episodically is kinda weird anyway. It's a way for them to bail on the project and save money if it doesn't catch on but theoretically all the heavy lifting should be done already. I guess if they do one a month that would be alright. It would be like a comic book then.

I read somewhere that it had over a million downloads upon launch, so I should imagine you would probably be safe paying for the entire series to get the overall discount on it.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

You mean after it's all released? Ya, there will probably be some deal to buy it all at once. At least the million downloads means they'll see it through to the end.

Exactly, I'll be paying full for each. if for nothing else to provide incentive for them to keep going.

Same here man, I dont mind helping to support a good game. Its certainly a fresh break from all the annoying fething FPS that seem to be the only games ever made

Indeed, at first the controls (See: Wonky walking) Were mildly off-putting, But I got used to it and I love it. I have no problem paying for quality, so long as they keep it up.

I've been playing it too, and agree the controls were kinda weird to learn but it has a very similar feel to the Teltale Back to the Future game, except its a bit more fast paced (in sections) and of course you can have your brains eaten, what i found out quite hilariously when i didn't realise i had to attack the zombie i was expecting a cut-scene kind of thing. I had a good chuckle after that.

Finished it. It was good too, my only complaint is sometimes people don't act in the most logical way like picking up a weapon or attacking someone as a group. I've accepted that's just the way it's going to be for the sake of drama.

If you bought it on Steam you paid upfront for all 5.
