nurisment of different species totally aside, i finally did what needed to be done and at least glued some odd ends of wood together on a piece of cubboardbackwall...its called mdf here and it is rather thin...the other wooden parts will be the sicking point for the use of poles made from wood (center) and two out of plexiglas...
no that i often had to heave her around i think she will be quite aheavy one...well that would also underline the victorian line too...(hehe)

as you all could now see hte general shape of her plump beauty the discussion for naming her is officially opend by me. for quite some time i thought about the name "damokles" but an inner voice tells me that she is in fact a lady and should be thus named...

The ship looks great vik, i agree with monkey about taking your time . no need to rush this beauty, you have plenty of other side projects to go to if burnout comes around. although i think you are moving quite fast now. She is Massive , how are you gonna move her. ? the skiffs are a good idea , but why not use the tube and skiffs, the idea of men dropping down a tube or pole like firemen is very cool and original mate. just makes me smile.

I would propose Victorious as a play on Victoria and also after the aircraft carrier.

Morrigan is probably another version of the same goddess, i considered Morrigan as its more familiar, and she is a more potent deity i think but its a pretty ugly name, lol although i think aeron is a lesser godess derived from arten a goddess of fate of war and battle.

you cant go wrong with dreadnought, iron duke or vanguard in my opinion

keep the names coming dudes, it is old englisgh, welsh, greek or other celtic languages possible. latin i would rule out as it would sound to warhammer like...rest is whatever you can come up with...

the fireman pole idea is verrrrrrry striking....if i could model it that way i would be very fluffy...

Vik are you using duck tape on that airship? It seems like it. And the boiler is looking good too!

yep i used a fair amount of smallish stripes of ducktape to cover up some gaps between the peaks of the blimp and the body of said thing...this will have to get "painted" with diluted PVA as the ducktape starts to peel off...should have used painters tape instead but i liked the surface of the ducktape for that job too...

i always thought riveting something up is a very nasty piece of work,but all in all it was quite pleasing to do so. its kind of monotone but you have to concentrate and it is rather like some kind of "modeling yoga" you get that wonderfull empty feeling in your head...always thinking:
