ähm...i think we are in a capital missunderstanding here...
the pic in my avatar is the normal catachan HQ body...just a bit of `shoped texture ofer a for now unpainted mini... i try however to sculpt me an ogryn out of FIMO...i just recently rediscovered the stuff and after todays lazy and try and error sculpting with that stuff i want to give it a go for real and i think the ogryn is a good start so i can practice on a bit bigger scale...so i have never yet worked or handled an ogryn before...

i am currently working on a version commisioned by shrike of a now baptismed Marbo! witha boltpistol and camocloak...is this then the right char for such a model?

behold the connor...




cut out the right arm wielding the sniper lasgun...glued a boltpistol there...
cut of the left arm the supporting one... cut a shouting arm/steadiing arm from the HWT and glued it back to the shoulder of the cloak arm...then cut of the boltpistol muzzle, drilled a fitting hole for an elven lance cut to size...and used a piece of Q-tip as a muzzle...and glued it all together... figured the sentinel/tank driver head would underline the übercool look just right...


so that was that...
then i mounted the berret head on the posh officer... took a pic for you dakka:



and then i got five nice lil zombie dogs in the post...
and i have them here on some different bases...next to a catachen metal lasgunner i tried with the afore mentioned only wash technique...:




well now would be a good point for some comments...

by the way... now that would make me happy... medling with minis and getting paid fr it and even get the bits to do so for free...so i guess next update should be with my postadress and bankacount^^

maybe since the lasgun has the same to hit & wound but more shots, have the BP, because of the lengthened barrel, increase his BS by +1?

ruleswise for marbo or rather connor i cant say... it was a mere tech challenge...also it holds my very first self cast torso^^ crappy beyond regognition but nevertheless DIY^^

shame I can't properly take a look at the torso, too many limbs in the way...
rules for the dogs of war...maybe call the handler hammond?

dogcatcher- functioning like a smaller variant of the mancatcher, dogcatchers may be used instead of the normal lasgun/laspistol and CCW during that turn, functiooning as a power weapon.
minder- if the handler gets killed, the dogs gain the rage USR.

the handler may take a horse (turns into a rough rider, dogcatcher counts-as a lance)....+15pts (becomes T4 with +1W and +1A)
may take up to 10 additional dogs....7pts per model
unit composition- 1 handler and 5 dogs.

cyberdog isnt my thing i think... mounted handler would be supercool, but currently i have no lighter rider here...should be a lighter rider as it would be fitting to a chase crew...
also if notmounted it would be a cool thing to have him in one hand four to five leashes...

so i would opt for the first one... but then again what would i have to say to rules anyway me being a noob^^

I agree, and by making numerous other rules for things, I can tell if something is outright OP. To tell if it's slightly OP or decent will require some test games...

So morining to all, the postman rang about half an hour earlier today and brought me my newest addtion to the ever growing fold of the victorian army...:

behold the Pickelhauben Trenchers:



40! Warzone minis...consisting of four teams with :

nine regular trenchers:

and a sergant each...:



this is an army on its own accord...^^

as i have expierienced the plastic of warzone is rather harder than the GW stuff... so this will be a major pain to just get these minis out of their frames...

but as the frames are all alike i can built afterwards a whole mess of things with it... towers and buildings and maybe a special version of pillboxes comes to my mind...fitting for trenchers in my book^^
