Some FLGSs will take orders for things announced but not yet up for pre-order - typically things like FFG announcing new X-Wing ships that are coming in 6 months I assume that's what they're referring to.

EDIT-Looking again it seems there was a Book 3 that missed, so hey, new content! Besides those early 2000s BL books have some awful binding and feel like they'll fall apart if I breath too hard.

A lot of Amazon pre-orders just use whatever date they find/get sent/guess - I believe the next Game of Thrones has had - quite a lot of dates on Amazon.

I book I wanted was cancelled but instead of delisting it Amazon just changed the date to 2035. Still have the order open, maybe it'll be a nice retirement present.

The whole saying of “I’m not angry, just disappointed” has been a thing forever.
Kind of shows there alone that they are entirely different emotions.
