i was thinking about a double destroyer lord list, mostly jump infanty, for a fast hard hitting army. Let me know what you think.
HQ:
Destroyer Lord – WS, SW, MSS, RO
Destroyer Lord – WS, SW, MSS, RO
Troops:
5 Immortals– Gauss Blasters
5 Immortals– Gauss Blasters
Elite:
6 Praetorians - VB, PC
5 Praetorians - VB, PC
Fast Attack:
6 Wraiths – 3 WC, 1PC
6 Wraiths – 3 WC, 1PC
6 Wraiths – 3 WC, 1PC
Heavy Support:
Annihilation Barge – TD, GC
Annihilation Barge – TD, GC
Annihilation Barge – TD, GC
Total – 1995
Each DLord would be attached to a Praetorian Unit, so they could benefit from the RO and wouldnt screw with the wraiths ignoring terrain.

I think its an interesting idea and can work pretty well if you play it right. But the min squads of immortals for troops concerns me, they have no mobility and even a little bit of dedicated shooting can down both squads, forcing you to go for the table in objective games.
You have also no access to night-fight with double destroyer lords, so this army really needs first turn.

This is a very interesting list, though needs waaay more troops. Even if you kept the Immortals in reserve, they would come in and will be easy to pick off. You would have to contest objectives to even score a draw if your Immortals are destroyed.

This was more setup for a kill point game rather than an objective game. But again if they are going after my troops they are not dealing with my other units and thats 5 fast moving High Priority targets (with the possibility of becoming 7 if the DLords break off) along with 3 av13 targets putting out alot of fire power.
But if you're worried about troops what about dropping an Anni Barge for another 5 man Immortal squad with Tesla Carbines?
Or instead of 3 Immortal squads, 4 squads of 5 man warriors?

Well 2/3's of games are objectives, and if playing objectives then going after your troops is a fine tactic. Plus in kill points your units of Immortals plus Preatorians would be easy targets due to low numbers.

Mmmm... I'm a big believer in royal courts; they greatly increase troop survivability and utility. D lords are killing machines, but that's about it

I have been thinking about a similar list for awhile now and the general conclusion is it will not work competitively. The lack of courts is a big problem that cannot be solved by means other than taking courts.
As a result, I sometimes run an Imotekh-DLord list with 12 or 18 wraiths. The DLord joins one of the wraith units. The rest is either scarabs and spyders, or ABarges. Troops is open to different models - MSU, a couple of fat squads, or some combo thereof.
Now if you are set on playing this list, I'd recommend dropping the praetorians, which are not that great anyway, and thus playing on significantly lower point levels. If possible, drop the Abarges as well and play even lower - less than 1500 pts. At such levels, the lack of solar pulses or Imotekh is easier to survive as the opponent does not have nearly as much dakka to concentrate and wipe out squads piecemeal. The Dlords being killing machines have more effect on smaller games anyway. Automatically Appended Next Post: Smaller troops are more survivable on smaller games as well. Just reserve them and have the walk on to your home objectives. Wraiths will be contesting the opponent's objectives anyway, or sweep them clean of scoring units by turn 5. Also, with so much brutality concentrated on smaller scales, you likely are close to tabling the opponent anyway.
