OK, a question that has probably been answered a hundred times on this forum;
Can IG use any units from the GreyKnightcodex? I know they could use Deamonhunters in the previous edition, but it seems the option has been taken away.
Some sources dated less than a year ago tells me its allowed, other suggests the option has been removed.
I see some IG wargear has found its place on some characters in the GK codex, but no mentioning of allies.

Perhaps someone can bust this myth for me once and for all?

While we are discussing attachments, can IG use any attachments from any Imperial Army-books?

There is no option in the Grey Knights codex to use any of their units in a Guard army, or vice versa.

If wherever you are playing is happy with the use of Imperial Armour units, sure.

I planned on using base guardsmen as warrior acolytes. Don't see why those wouldn't be allowed. Chimeras and sanctioned Psykers are in there so those are good. For apocalypse I run Leman Russ tanks as "inquisitional" tanks.

Hardly, since you can still use those units under the GK codex. You can just make a henchmen-heavy list with a Coteaz and mount them up in Chimeras and junk while you support them with GKT. It's not the same, but you hardly need to throw those models in the garbage.

Maybe we don't WANT to play GK. As you say, it's not the same. Put it this way. When the new GK codex came out I had a GK army. I read the codex and decided that I wanted no part of the cheesefest that they produced and sold my GK army. I'm more disappointed in the lack of inquisition and Assassin options in the Sisters 'codex'. But oh well, the girls are still fun to play.
