I dont know where to put this i suppose its a tactic since including him into an army would be a tactical decision, any ways.

I just wAant to know in dakka dakkas opinion is Telion worth taking, i mean i know he can wound what ever model he chooses but is it worth the 75 (or close to that) points.

To many unpainted models to count.

75 points to headshot an enemy HQ?
Doesn't he also bring a cammo cloak for everyone in the squad? That's 15 points.
I'll take him every time, if I used snipers.
Until then, I'll squeeze in another 5-man Tac squad.

I never play a game without Telion and a few scouts. His rules make him useful in every game. If you don't need to take out a HQ, you can let a missile launcher scout shoot with his BS to take out heavy armor.
And he is just 50 points, so his upgrades and rules almost directly pay themselves back.

where am I? *looks around* Well i'm...errr...I...I...don't know!

Had a question about this on another thread, if you take telion in a 10 man squad and then combat squad (5 with shotguns and the 4 snipers and telion) does telion give cammo cloaks to the other combat squad since he replaces the sarge?

Alas not, he only gives stealth to the combat squad that he stays with.

Nevertheless, he is superb, and the only way to make sniper scouts decent.

And don't forget if you have a missile launcher in the squad, it can use his BS if you desperately need a tank dead.

It is a bit of waste to use his BS on the missile launcher. There is usually some squad that he can fire on instead.

Being able to single out models in a unit is an amazing skill and really useful. Every army has models in units which are key. Also it is the reliability of his attack as well.

He is just awesome and cheap. I would not recommend him for camping on objectives. I like to have him in a position with a good view and also away from an objective so the enemy has to go out their way to deal with him.

This is what I always thought, that it's a bit of a waste using all the snipers and Telion just to get one S8 hit on something. I think if you are going to use him for anything other than sniping it should be for getting all your hits from a HB with hellfire rounds on a monstrous creature.
But he looks like he is definitely worth it. Like a vindicare assassin.

True, but it is nice to have the option.
I like telion. Sometimes you really want that one meltagun dead...

Telion is great for picking out units, especially those players who really love to put half of their unit in cover to get a little bit extra shooting range, take a shot at the MM that it standing just in front of the forest and he is allowed no cover save ha

I like telion.
Saves the points for camo cloaks, singles out targets with his skill as a sniper. Worth it.
as for the hellfire rounds, its only one shot per turn which i dont think is worth it when compared to the ML.

I don't think thats the case, the unit is still in cover, regardless of where the wounds have been allocated. Thats like saying you fired the missile launcher and he takes the wound on a guy outside the cover (even though greater than 50% of the unit is in) and thus he won't get a cover save.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Telion simply allows you to choose which model his hits are allocated to. The model would still get cover if its unit is 50% or more in cover.

Because that makes sense in a real-world scenario.

Very few 40k rules make sense in "real-world scenarios". So it's generally extremely bad idea to try to apply any "common sense" to the rules. And as far as rules are concerned, any unit with 50% or more of its models in cover gets cover save.

40k is not simulationist. Basically this means if you try to use rules to model fluff, you will fail. Therefore, trying to interdict fluff (or "real-world scenario") in the game is also doomed to fail.

Correction: Sergeant Telion is 50 pts (this was previously said, but your OP still says 75, which may confuse people).
So if you have 10 man sniper and one missle, camo cloaks is 30 pts.
You are basically paying 20 pts for Telion, getting the option of a Str8 with BSof6, or you could use his amazing ability and pic HQs off like that.

So, 20pts for so much and what everyone else has already said?

Resin Printer (minaitures) is a 4K printer with one of the largest build volumes available for a resin printer (192mm x 120mm x 245mm) with an amazing .01mm resolution! This professional printer is one of the best resin printers on the market!

FDM Printer (terrain) also has one of the largest build volumes available for an FDM printer (400mm x 400mm x 450mm) and has an amazing ,05mm build accuracy.

I suppose that would be correct. I just figured since there is nothing obscuring telions los to the model he is shooting outside of cover. But I guess it can never work that way.

This is why I personally feel telion is auto include in pretty much any large backfield scout squad...the points effciency is INSANE!
