Should be Tom Jane, since he looks identical anyways. But I don't totally hate Ryan Reynolds.

I am not a fan of remakes and reboots, generally, but I have long been on the record as saying Highlander deserves/needs one. Get rid of all the nonsense, and create a tight, cohesive background. And use the Queen intro.

Meh, IMO all three Highlander films were pretty poor.

A Bladerunner sequel is disappointing. I would have liked to see another reworking of the book.

You need to watch your tone talking about the first one. And the series.

Not really. The first movie was the hottness. Everything after that, including the series, was pretty craptastic.

The original Highlander from Russell Mulcahy does not need a reboot; it stands the test of time, and Clancy Brown's performance is timeless. Anything beyond that, however... yeah, that's fine. Reboot it from there.

George Spiggott wrote:Meh, IMO all three Highlander films were pretty poor.

There'a actually 5.

The 4th one killed off Connor MacLeod as a way to pass the torch to Duncan McLeod (Adrian Paul, from the TV show), and the 5th one took place in an alternate future from the future presented in part 2, and somehow actually made the story even dumber.

This!

We must preserve the spirit that made the one (and to the best of my memory only, ever) Highlander movie great.

Agreed. Even at the time, my fifteen year old fantasy nerd self gave it a solid "meh." Once Queen stops playing, you may as well turn it off.

No Highlander was awesome, but like they said in the movie, "there can be only one" so highlander is just 1 movie, everything after that just blew chunks

The Highlander films were atrocious. Not only that but as an actual Highlander I found that the terrible accents and idiotic setting made the films even worse. Its also spelled MacLeod, not McCloud.

All in all I really couldn't care less about a Highlander remake and a Blade Runner sequel can be safely ignored.

My bad...
Lambert was born in Great Neck, New York. His father was a French diplomat in the UN. Lambert grew up in Geneva, Switzerland, where his family had moved when he was two. He moved to Paris when he was 16. He first gained an interest in acting after participating in a school play at the age of twelve. His parents however wanted him to have a job with security and saw acting as unsafe, so to please his parents he took a job with the London Stock Exchange, but after about six months he left the L.S.E. to help a friend run a shop in Paris. He also served in the French military at his father's insistence.

Same here. You don't just need a healthy suspension of disbelief to enjoy it, you need a suspension of good taste and higher intellectual function.
