Hey there. I was in Games Workshop yesterday looking for something to buy and had a look at the Chaos Warhounds and Vampire Counts Dire Wolves kits. Having read Dan Abnett's Salvation's Reach and its scratched together mutant dogs I've been thinking of adding more bestial units to my frankly quit uniform force (well in that its all humans that is). In the long run I'd like to be including some Traitor Guard (or at least human soldier), mutant and alien mercenary elements too, but I'm tripping over a bit of a stumbling block right now on how to actually include these alongside my existing army. Hopefully the next codex will include these things, but until then how would I go about this? The Eye of Terror campaign book contained these rules, but I think its a little outdated to be using, whilst I don't know of the Siege of Vraks books include the less orderly units like the hounds. These would be purely for larger games, ie 3000+, so I would presume I could use other army's units too. Thoughts? 0.o

Just run them as Summoned Lesser Daemons. If you're using them in a traitor IG army, use them as Rough Riders. You can't generally use units from other armies unless it's specifically an Apocalypse game.

=/ I'm already running forty lesser daemons unfortunately, as are warhounds mounted on 40mm bases rather than 20mm, which probably is too much of a difference. Oh and I am referring to Apocalypse games here as I'm just looking for a way to include some mutant flesh creation type units into my existing 6000pts army. ^^

If it's Apocalypse then you can use any unit out of any codex you want. Run them as Flesh Hounds of Khorne, or Fenrisian Wolves.

Heck, if it's Apocalypse, you could declare them all to be Kroot Hounds and the most you'd get are raised eyebrows.
