Is it me, or is it that Terminators are being used by everyone who can take them as troops? Deep striking in when can; or riding Land raiders or drop pods into battle. Seems like I see more models in Terminator armour these days then in Power armour.

AP - too AP 4 weapons have twice as much chance of killing someone in Power armor then Term armor...
Term armor saves twice as much as power armor
AP 3 weapons are 83% more likely to kill someone in Power armor then Term armor
Term Armor saves 5 out of 6 times were power armor don't get save
AP 2 and AP 1 weapons are 33% more likely to kill someone in power armor then Term Armor
Term armor saves 2 out of 6 times inv save when power armor don't get save.

If you can take Terms as troops you are crazy for not taking them. Reason why Loyalist Space Marines that can take terms as troops are loading up on terms.

There are just my observation, I mean seems like the local Ork / Eldar player is going loyalist marines, the two local tyranids players are going loyalist, one of the local Imperial guard player, the local Necron player, and the local town players are going not playing their main army and are playing space marines... guess they like having terms as troops that bad they are willing to buy a new army just to get the edge in the game.

The only armies that can use Terminators as Troops are Space Wolves under Logan Grimnar, Dark Angels under Belial, and Grey Knights all the time. While Belial is a very, very common HQ, Logan isn't. It sounds like your meta might be overvaluing Terminators a little bit, or you don't quite have the reasons for why your players are turning over to Marines. Terminators also aren't that good; certainly not good enough to tip the scales of the game. Grey Knights as an army are, but they don't necessarily need Terminators to do well. I used a squad of Assault Terminators in a game the other night to great effect, but I got very lucky and charged a lot of units that aren't terribly good in close combat.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that only Grey knights, Space wolves and possibly DA deathwing can take terminators as "troops" on the FOC...

Any SM player can take them as a unit, definitely, but they're in the "Elites" slot, not "Troops".

But of course people take terminators, they are a very dangerous unit when used well, and opponents tend to sink a lot of firepower into them, to the point where effective fire control is non-existent.
They're pretty fairly costed though.

Edit: Forgot Space wolves

Loganwing lists are bloody expensive...
Both in points and in money.
It's also hard to do because though their base terminator may be cheaper their upgrades are really expensive...

They are better off than the chaos terminators however, thanks to 5 point wolf claws vs 10 point lightning claws.

I used Deathwing termies cause I like them.

..And I used to play the Space Hulk videogame for the computer all the time. I don't care what I'm facing, the only thing I truly fear facing with terminators is genestealers.

Oh hey, I play guard, look at my big bad demolishers, and my 3 plasma guns and a plasma pistol per squad, and my executioners with plasma cannon sponsons. That is why terminators aren't used by everyone all the time. Honestly I love playing Draigowing armies because I can chew through half of the army in a single turn of shooting once I get close. A few demolisher shots, some multi-melta sponsons, some plasma guns, armour penetration and instant death everywhere. I love when I see terminators deepstrike onto the field because in a turn they will probably be killed in a hail of plasma, melta, and demolisher fire, losing 200+ points.
