Hi guys,

Just bought a load of Medieval Knights and archers from Foundry Minatures with the aim of making a more interesting looking Brettonian army. I had a bit of a shock when I opened the boxes and saw that they were about 20% smaller than the Citadel miniature range. So I can probably get away with using the Longbow men as peasant archers but the mounted knights are a definite no no. So rather than send some very nice looking miniatures back I was wondering if there were any historical type medieval games?

On top of my head that could use 28mm...

DBMM
Field of Glory
Warhammer Ancient Battles
War and Conquest
Clash of Empires
Hail Caesar

And much more. In fact as we speak Fireforge is also making their own game

As far as medieval games go, I've also heard good things about Impetus. There's a free basic version as well.

Theres a chance that you have enough models for both sides of the argument if you use impetous.

However I would highly recommend War and Conquest by Scarab miniatures.
A nice basic ruleset with some very intuative ideas along with free online army lists = win!
