Hey everybody, I have an existing Salamanders army that's painted, and was considering adding to it since I had already put a lot of work into it.
Here's what I have so far:

HQ-
Vulkan He'stan
Librarian in Power Armor
Chaplain in Power Armor w/ Power Fist
Terminator Captain w/ Lightning Claws
Captain in Power Armor w/ Power Weapon/Bolter

Elites-
X7 Terminators w/ Storm Bolters/Power Fists, Heavy Flamer
X6 Sternguard w/ x2 Combi-Meltas and Sgt w/ Power Fist, Razorback w/ TL Lascannons
Dreadnought w/ Multi-melta

Troops-
X10 Tactical Marines, Sgt w/ Power Fist, Missile Launcher, Flamer, Rhino
X10 Tactical Marines, Sgt w/ Power Fist, Multi-Melta, Flamer, Rhino
X10 Tactical Marines, Sgt w/ Power Fist, Combi-Melta, Missle Launcher, Meltagun, Rhino

Fast Attack-
Land Speeder w/ Multi-Melta

Heavy Support-
Predator w/ Autocannon and Heavy Bolters
Thunderfire Cannon
Land Raider Crusader w/ Multi-Melta (usually for Terminators)

I think that's it! Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Wow a Salamanders list without TH/SS Terminators? I know most salamander players use them since vulkan makes their TH Master-crafted. Other than that I like running Predators in my Ultramarines as they provide a cheap (not in $ unfortunately) fire support and armour saturation unit imho.

try to convert the termies into TH/SS or just proxy them as such.
Sternguard in a DP are a pretty interersting choice as well- 10 combimelta shots at the back end of a tank is quite effective.
But pretty good list, thus far.
A good deathstar-eque units could be the 7 TH/SS termies, Vulkan, and the Librian will null zone/whatever else you want, in the LRC
Good luck.

Nice I really like the Tac termies with the heavy flamer too. its not what everyone says to take but i think they are fun.

Depends on your version of SPICE.

What about Attack Bikes with Multi Meltas? That is different.

Does different = Spice?

Otherwise just get some TH/SS stuff them in a LR and that adds like a gazjillion points right there.

Maybe repeat a few units.
Dread with MM and HF.
Sternguard set up in many ways:
8combimeltas+2heavy flamers in a drop pod.
Some heavy flamers and combimeltas in a rhino.
Speeder with HF+MM
Speeder with double MM.

2 preds work well. I would give both lascannons, as you have flamers for infantry whereas taking mech out at range is needed.
2 thundercannons work well.

Assault termies is dull but awesome choice. I guess dull only as it is seen a lot. In fact you should have some thunder hammers for fluff reasons and having a deathstar unit is usually seen as an interesting choice

Thanks for the replies! I guess what I was thinking is that even without certain units, like the Terminators w/ TH's/SS's, I've done pretty well with the army. Now I'm looking to add different elements like, maybe a couple bike squads or a third Heavy Support or something. I'm not going to tear apart my existing, already painted Terminators either...

I have enough models to field two squads of 5 Bikers, I was thinking one could have x2 Plasmaguns and a Sgt w/ Power Fist and maybe a Combi-Something, while the other could run x2 Meltaguns, an Attack Bike w/ Multi-Melta and a Sgt w/ Power Fist.
I've never used Bikers , I think they might make good support units to roll up with the Rhinos and/or Land Raider.

Anyone have luck with this kinda stuff?
Thanks!

Stormtalon!? I put my weight behind 2 melta+PF sgt+MM attack bike. Also, does Vulkan affect the sponsons on a LR Redeemer?

I like the models you have atm but I agree with everyone here. You need to get your termies with TH/SS so that you can fight off cc enemies.

The previous comments about TH/SS termies are a must. It sounds like you enjoy the hobby side of the game too. You could look into Bray'Arth Ashmantle, makes for a pretty sick-looking Salamander dreadnought. He's a Forge World model but if your buddies let you play him he is pretty awesome (stick him in a FW assault pod for uber-kill!)

Looking at your army from a collector's point of view, I would expand your fast attack section. Either add some attack bikes with MM or some bikes. A Storm Talon would be a nice "big" to add to that section. More speeders is always good too.

Th/SS termies is a must have for a marine player.

As a Crimson Fist player with a large army, I'm looking at a Storm Eagle for my army. It will see limited play, but it would be a fantastic ceter piece model!

Also the FW Salamander special character dreadnought would be a must as a Sallie player I would think.
