Subject: Purple People Eating Plaguebearers of Putrid Pestilence - speedpainted (kinda)
I'm currently building & painting a 40k daemons army. I'm a really slow painter so this took over two years with my guard, but I'm taking a different approach with my daemons. My standard rank and file troops are getting speedpainted. My rule I've set myself is:
Only 1 hour allowed per figure.
This will hopefully mean I get a playable painted army fairly quickly!
These are all ebay rescues, I paintstripped them then painted them with basic techniques only. They were sprayed, washed, wet brushed, dry brushed, detail work then rewashed in the shadowed areas only. I have 20 so only another 15 hours work to get them done, then its onto the 60 or so other daemons... lol!
I don't think they look too bad for just a mornings work, and all feedback is gratefully received.

@olim; The purple is my first use of the new GW range: xereus purple base, genestealer purple wetbrush, lucius lilac drybrush and druichi violet wash.
Green is caliban green with straken green highlights, coelia greenshade wash and a tamiya yellow glossy coat on top with which I also did a lot of the boils.

Hmmmmmm these remind me of a song...I think you know what it is:
Tali'Zorah: I appreciate what you're doing here, Shepard.
Commander Shepard: Well, I care deeply about the quarian people.
Tali'Zorah: It's good to be back on the Normandy.
Commander Shepard: Let me know if it's too quiet for you to sleep, and I'll find you someplace louder.
Tali'Zorah: Hmm.
Garrus Vakarian: Uh, I was there when you two had your thing, remember? Just get a room and work it out.

Once you've finished the batch you're working on, you might use any leftover time to add a second color (some contrasting slime? Maybe yellowish?) to those bits of slime/venom trailing from the weapons. You could do the whole set of 20 at once quite quickly as one big assembly line.
