I'm not sure what to put on my Land Raider, Either Flamestorm Cannons or Lascannons, what I want to use it for is to take out other tanks, but also take out some other infantry with it. I'm not to worried about transport capacity really. Oh and also this is for a Blood Angels army if that makes any difference. Thank you!

If you pick flame storms, they come with the assault cannon. I guess this is better as you want to be close to the enemy to assault them.

What do you need in your army, anti tank or anti-meq?

If anti tank, take your lascannons and toss a multi-melta on it.

Otherwise, anti-meq still toss a melta on it.

Capacity matters too- what are you planning to carry in it? A LRR can carry up to 12 models, whereas for BA a regular LR can only carry 10. If, say, you want to carry terminators and have the option to include a character or two, then you need the extra capacity from the Redeemer.

Unless you specifically need the extra carrying capacity, the lascannon is better. A flamestorm cannon is a giant "guess what's coming your way?" weapon that can only shoot one of them at the same target at the same time. Your opponent can do things like displacing, throwing death or glory units, etc., against said single blast.

Plus, what does a flamestorm cannon give you that the guys inside the raider aren't already good against? Meanwhile, nothing in a raider is going to give you long-range anti-tank, and you're probably going to come across some transports in the future. This is especially boosted by the fact that the two different lascannons can shoot at two different targets thanks to PotMS.

Well if you are moving cruising speed, you only get one weapon to use because of POtMS.

So if you have an assault unit inside, the 2 LC is kind of a waste.

I use a redeemer because it can carry 5 assault terminators, and my Librarian in terminator armor. and for BA that is a real good thing.

I hardly ever use the flamestorm cannons anyway, except in certain circumstances.

If you plan to run LC Terminators with a priest in there for furious charge, run a Redeemer. Assault Grenades on the turn you charge can make all the difference.

I would suggest using the lascannon raider with a multi-melta on it, and then either put some troops inside it or TH/SS terminators, since they go last the lack of grenades won't hurt them.

If you put those termies in there, the LR WILL draw fire.
