The Host is the second episode of The X-Files second season, where Mulder investigates a case of a flukeworm-like humanoid who lives in New Jersey sewers. It's a classic episode of the series.

I watched the episode few weeks ago and it occured to me that the monster is somehow similar to Genestealer in both appearance and behaviour

Spoiler:
The Fluke Man is a pale, slime-covered humanoid with parasitic mouth. It is implied that it is a hybrid form of human mutated with flukeworm DNA, and appearently its attacks implant the victims with large parasites (perhaps turning them to more fluke men as well?). It hides in the sewers and hunts for people so it can reproduce.

Am I the only who sees a similarity here? Also, any X-Files fans out here?

Trust no-one.

That's what the badge on my jacket says, anyway.

Used to be a fan. Then it got all jumping of sharks (even more redonkulous stuff than normal) and I stopped watching. Didn't even bother watching the movie.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

ahem... this guy?

He's not in the sewers anymore...

But on a serious, less joking Note... X files are cool... And Mr Christie... I just disagree with 25% if what he does... he's done a lot of good... except when it comes to the schools... or insurance... I disagree with him on these issues

Love the X files as well!
And thanks for reminding me why I had an insane fear of toilets in the 90"s....
