Hey guys,

I have a quick question concerning cover.

When a model moves, is it considered in cover (against ARO) only if at the end of his movement, he is in cover ?
Or if he was in cover at one point, it is ok to receive the bonus from cover ?

Thanks !

From my understanding of the rules, the person taking the ARO shot can specify when the shot takes place. So for example, if someone in their active turn is running between cover then that person shooting ARO at them will wait till they are in the open, so they would not receive the cover bonus.

If you can keep in cover for the whole move (moving along behind a low wall, for example) then you're in cover. Otherwise, as Pacific says, the reacting models will choose to shoot you when you're not touching the cover.

Note that there is an action you can perform called "Cautious Movement".

It lets you jump from full-cover to full-cover without attracting any AROs.
