Hey out there,

I was wondering if anyone has done any standard nobz to mega armored nobz conversions? Being that there is really only 1 type of mega nob model out there (at least they all look the same) has anybody got any good Ideas for conversions other than using green stuff to add the armor to a standard set of nobz?

Thanks in advance

I got sidetracked and have not finished the squad yet but hope to get back to them soon and finish them up.

I haven't actually seen much mega armor sculpted from epoxy putty. Building the armor plates out of styrene sheet seems to be the more popular choice, with pistons made of rod and tube. Some folks clad nob models in armor, like jerseydevil did, while others scrathbuild an entire exoskeleton, using only a nob head and bits for engines, weapons, etc. If you want to scratchbuild the body, a bit of searching should turn up a set of templates, if you need a starting point.

Don't do this.

This almost always looks horrible due to vastly different proportions.

I'm working on a Deff Wing army. I used Black Orcs as a base for these (not finished, but getting close)

Agreed, but it can be done with a bit more modelling and jiggery pokery.

Anyone tired of me posting these pics yet?

No adjustment to the leg lengths or hip placement, and giant shoulder width/tiny body thanks to just tacking on the arms.

Sorry bro, but you are kinda proving my point.
