These are stunning sculpted terminators, ( apart from forgeworld being real cheeky and casting these in finecast and not resin ) the design team are amazing. It is such a shame about quality of poop cast :(

Second, looking good! How hard was it to assemble these bad boys? I've been thinking of getting some myself.
Hi there matey yes they are finecast I am sorry to say, I modeled them myself.
Let me explain a little, they are calling it there new resin mix ( finecast in disguise ) it comes on finecast sprues its is exactly the same resin texture and finish the sprues flex and move like fine cast. they dont come on regular triangular blocks like normal forgeworld resin.
To elaborate more the only difference is they are not calling it finecast, maybe for a few reasons. These reasons could be very poor brand association of finecast or that GW have the exclusive brand name for it.
So basically what I am trying to say is yes they are using finecast on some of there new lines and old and I think it is really poor form of them :(
I will post a few video links if you like to show you what I mean, if I have explained myself poorly

Forgeworld has made new sprue styles for newer models, and they change resins around a lot.
They are not, however, using finecast. Forge World has come out and said they aren't using Finecast. We've had a ton of threads on this on Dakka. I can assure you, you just got a shotty casting.

I do not disagree with what you have been told, but I had them in my hand my friend and they looked exactly like finecast. They had the same pitfalls as finecast, I can only say from my personal experience. Maybe the resin mix is different, all I know is it was so close to finecast it was untrue. I have to agree maybe I did get a poor cast, but I have never experienced that quality with there regular resin.
Here is a link to another hobbyist facing the pitfalls of this new resin mix.
In that case so did I, because my Tartaros termies came on a number of tiny sprues and the resin was rubbery and flexible (and covered in flash).
I can't comment on if it has similar characteristics to Finecast because I haven't got any Finecast models, but whatever resin they used to cast up my batch needs to be dumped in a pit and sealed with concrete.
The components are nice - if a little weedy compared to regular terminators. I'm thinking of ditching the idea of using them as termies and just spreading their weapons out among my power armour squads, the powerfists look great!
shoulderpads are a bit Meh. they're so thin that while you're clipping them off the sprue you might mistake a bit of them for flash, and the style isn't great.
Don't like the heads, they're really small (to fit inside the one-part torso) and so have hardly any detail of note on them.
Legs are very, very plain and flat, but that makes an interesting change from the generally overdecorated Terminator models from elsewhere.
Overall it's got some great components, but it's not a very great kit. Not worth the cost IMO

While they are not direct finecast, the resin mix now used on smaller models by FW is very close to it.
Ive had several issues with new FW items (character sized or small models) which is something ive never had an issue with before.
The defects are all similar to finecast, including severe bubbles, small details being ruined by a poor cast, chunks of the mould attatched to the model etc.
All in all, its forgecast basically.
I own tons of new finecast models and the durability of the resin is identical to that of the new FW resin they use.
Poor step IMO.
FW was really starting to turn out some amazing quality models until this change of resin.
Nice, they turned out well. Can't say I'm crazy about the design, but the storm bolters are cool. Solid overall paint job and they'll certainly look unique on the table.
Unfortunately, I cannot view your video. I'd love to see some pics, though! I'm not trying to be a horse's end, but most folks prefer to view pics to videos, I think, at least according to this. Sorry I couldn't give specific feedback.
