just lookin for some oppinions. I realize i over spent on the tyrant. Figured I'd leave some play room. Main purpose of this list is a shooty option. my normal lists are much more assault intensive. and since i been getting beat by DE and CM I'm tryin something new.

If you are going to go shooty, add twin T/L weapons on all your units. Maybe swap out the fexes with two Tyrannofexes? More targets and you are able to shoot at different things.

He only has 3 carnifexes, so they can all be separate. Argument over 2 Tfexes instead therefore seems a little irrelevant.

So saying, I'd drop one carnifex, give the hive tyrant at least one tyrant guard, take 2 more hive guard in the third elite slot. I would then trim the hive tyrant down and lose the toxic miasma and horror and take a second set of TL devourers. Another warrior in that squad would help as well.

Tyrannofexes are better than Carnifexes, though!

Although, honestly, I don't think you're going to get very far by trying to out-shoot your opponent. Well, each to their own!

So played the posted list tonight, it didn't do bad but it didn't win. Definitely agree with splitting up carinfex. And I'd love a tfex but haven't had a chance to pick up mini. Tyrant guard would have also been a big changer. Leech essence kept tyrant at full health till round 5. All in all a good test. Tweaks here and there and it is a fun list to play. As for why did I try shooty? The only answer I got is; to see if I could.
