Hey guys! I am not entirely sure if this is in the right place but anywho.
Would using the lychgurad/Praetorians be acceptable to use as Crypteks? I mean they have staffs/warscythes and look suitably ornate?

That's what i plan on doing.

Model them a little differently than your normal Lychguards and maybe chenge the paint job to make then stand out.

As long aas they are clearly not intended to be Lychguard i dont see anyone having a problem with it.

Very common conversion.

Rod of the Covenant + Arms from the Triarch Praetorians (with the addition of an extra arm donated from a warrior you can still build sword and board Lychguard out of the rest of the kit)
Immortal Torso + Legs (I actually prefer to use warrior torsos and legs as it's cheaper and it fits their statline better, not to mention you get to still build the Immortals)
Deathmark Head (or you can use the one-eyed head that comes with CCBs/Anni barges and either swap it with a warrior head or leave the pilots off altogether)

As long as they're converted to look different from any lychguard/praetorians in your army, then it's a very sensible conversion. I like the Deathmark head idea.

yeah, if you have bought a squad of immortal you will have soem deathmark backs and head lyign aroudn anyway. so you shoudl have bitx spare to make each Cryptek look a little different.

So far i have been using my 4 old pariah models, along with a Cryptek convrsion made from a Barge Lord.

I had Lychguard at one point, hated how they played ingame, So I tore them apart and made Crypteks out of them. I also had a couple of Cryptek models. So to make everybody match, they needed something big, that they all had.
I took the shields, imagined them as hovering surf boards and wallah!
All my Crypteks are surfing on hover boards. I'll find pics of them and post them here soon.

Bit late reply however those crypteks on boards looks fricking sweet!

I used lychguard as lords and praetorians as crypteks. It's worked so far.
