I started driving when I was 12, my 12 year old niece can operate a "smart" phone and I think she's pretty dense. So if they have the rough intelligence as a 12 year old this could be real, they sure as gak have the maturity.

The stuff these girls are saying, the prominence of the Starbucks, it does seem like it could be satire (the video was posted in 2008 when Americans were debating about whether the financial collapse should be officially labeled a recession ... sigh). Either way, the vid certainly depicts the culture from top to bottom quite well. What do you get when you strip crooks of statistical models, theories, PR, and lobbyists? These girls spelled it out: "I mean, who doesn't like money?" The first girl even does the "media apology" where she says she's sorry but phrases it in such a manner as to disavow any personal responsibility.
