I'm kind of basing this list around box sets so that's why some of the numbers and all might be a little weird for competitive play. I'm not looking to be competitive, only not to get crushed.
HQ
Overlord (Warscythe, Arrow, CCB)
Troops
12 Warriors
12 Warriors
5 Tesla immortals
5 Tesla immortals
Elites
5 lychguard (sword/ shield)
5 deathmarks
Fast Attack
3 Wraiths (whips)
6 Scarabs
Heavy Support
Annihilation Barge
Annihilation Barge
Doomsday Ark
TOTAL = 1502

Crypteks are a must have, even in a non-competetive list. I'd suggest having fewer warriors, and using the warrior bodies to make them.
Warrior body
+ deathmark head (leftover from immortals)
+ rod of covenant (leftover from lychguard)
= adequate cryptek

Looks like a good solid start. 3 barges are always a good start!!
Given the list you have put up, maybe you should consider a battle force as your base? Not sure if that is cheaper overall though.
3 wraiths are apparently not that good, so you may want to get an extra box of those.
With your list, I'd suggest you combine the immortals, I tend to find they are more effective in gorups of 10. The deathmarks also work well in combo with a harbinger of despair cryptek with veil.
As noted above, crypteks are a must. There are threads on how to start with a battle force on dakka, as well as a tactica for newbies (like me!).

Battleforce plus catacomb command barge is the way to go. Wraiths are the most devastating when fielded at full capacity and are also more survivable.

I'd definitely recommend some crypteks and a second box of wraiths (You'll love having more then just three). On the lychguards Sword n Boards are beautiful, especially if you add them with a way to go across the board quickly such as a veil tek. (though veil tek with the deathmarks is so much nastier)

I'd say drop the death marks. Their not worth their points as they are only good against hight toughness opponents

They wound a selected unit on 2+ with rapid fire pinning witha 3+ save and can deep strike into postion. You could use some more anti tank though.
