I wont even bother to ask about multiple flechettes wounding multiple times on a unit that is attacking a squadron, but here are some additional question about our handy little flechettes.

Are flechette wounds assigned and allocated the same way as shooting attacks or do they wound much the same as dangerous terrain? ie. each SPECIFIC attacking model is wounded on a 4+ and does not go the route of normal wound allocation.

ALSO

Can those kills that are from the Flechettes cause a moral check at the end of the assault phase? ie 25%

The way it's written, it seems like the wounds are model specific, in the same way as a Plasma Gun over heat is model specific. However, it's a lot easier to just use the wound allocation and just roll all the dice at once.

2nd question. Yes, At the end of any phase in which you lose 25% of your starting unit size, you must roll for moral, unless you are fearless or a vehicle.

Depends on whether or not the the wounds inflicted by the Fletchettes count as close combat attacks. If so, then they do not count for the 25% loss. Of course, they also are not locked in cc either, so the rules break.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

The way we do it is that whatever specific models that make it into b2b or cc(can't remember which the flacettes hit) with the tau vehicle take it on themselves. You could kill the specific models that are a threat but don't hold your breath.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

Well 4+ (to hit) and then a failed save are much better odds than 4+ to hit and then never even having it assigned.

The flechettes hit specific models, so all models that can swing get hit.
