Can you get wood elves in space? Because I was thinking of making an army of them, but I need some fluff basis first.
General Idea of the army:
Eldar that split before (or after) The Fall (so possibly Exodites?) That became one with the nature on the planet they were on, but still used the Eldar's technology, e.g. lance weapons, shuriken weapons, etc.
I was thinking of using the dark eldar codex for this army, because of the higher quantity of fast, maneuverable units. (e.g Hellions, Harlequins, Reavers, Beastmasters etc.) They wouldn't use any vehicles at all, instead they would have large animals, so for Reaver jetbikes, could have Eldar on horses with lance weapons etc, for Hellions could have Eldar riding giant birds, smae with beastmasters, Harlequins could be the elite forces of the army, stuff like that.
Opinions?

This basically
Exodites are the Space Hippies of the universe, They make their own stuff, they ride animals, they have wierd colors and they have an inner part of their planet that is sparkley and glowy and looks like it is giant egg.

I read their fluff background and it seems they ride dinosaurs around and stuff.
Which codex would be the best one for a Exodite army?

Let me guess - touching the egg makes the Eldar unhappy? What happens if I try and take it or simply break it? I'm sure a Sythe-class and several Shroud-class (oldcron) ships with lots of Dirges and Jackals can crack it from orbit. Not to mention hordes of scarabs and warriors stalking the surface.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.
'She sat on the corner, gulping the soup down, uncaring of the heat of it. They had grown more watery as of late she noted, but she wasn't about to beggar food from the Imperials or the "Bearers of the Word." Tau, despite their faults at least didn't have a kill policy for her race.' |

one thing i would say on this is if you model them as exodites thats all fine but if they all have bows and swords that "count as"and are on square bases so that you can use your fantasy army in 40k it dosnt tend to go down well with people
