For a while now ive been using cheap and nasty items with my paint, but have decided to try something better.
Ive been pointed towards Galeria products quite a bit now by a friend, but wanted some input from dakka on this if possible

I use the flow improver for making washes (fed up of mixing for each model, so i make in batches) and the retarder for wet blending.

Just wanted any advise on these products if possible, or any other good ones for that matter.

Your question is a bit vague, so i'm not entirely sure what we can help with really. It sounds like you already know what you want to do with them, so have fun basically.

I think the most important advice I could give though is to experiment with different ratios and observe the outcomes. You really don't need much additive at all to have a significant effect, and so I suggest starting off with tiny amounts, and gradually building up ratios while experimenting.

Thanks orki

It was more of needing an overview on some decent brands for the 2 items.
A while ago i picked up a cheap fluid retarder for helping with WB.

However, it didnt mix all that well, and after i had managed to get it to mix it left a chalky residue on the model once used.
Using my normal one ive never had such an issue before, but im now running low on it and its simply a white bottle (was given to me)
So i have no idea of the brand and cant get any more of it.

I use the Vallejo retarder, and W&N flow improver myself, purely because that is what was available locally when I purchased.

They both work well and only small amounts are need of either.

The Vallejo retarder is quite thick though, and so you will need to adjust your thinning ratios to adapt, but that's about the only thing of note really.
