Yep. Just remember that this will also work with the raiders ability feedback. So you can get the spell backlash on a warjack and charge in the raiders. Each time their whips damage that warjack the controller will take 2 damage. That is very, very dangerous to every caster.

unless of course you are going against epic vlad khador warcaster, in which case you better kill him or else you will be facing a much meaner Vlad next turn. Every time he takes damage he gets a blood token that converts to a focus at the begining of his next turn AND when he takes damage he gets better. +1 to stats (spd str def mat i think) first damage, if he goes below 10 health he gets +2 to those stats and then if he goes below 5 (and doesn't die obviously) he gets +3. All these are permanent.

This is slightly wrong.
In order for eVlad to get the Blood Token, the damage dealt has to have come from an enemy attack. The damage done via both Backlash and Feedback don't come from enemy attacks, so no Blood Token is gained by eVlad...

Trouble is the whole combo is useless when you end up playing a Hordes opponent.
There's other stuff that Cryx has that becomes useless when playing hordes. Like machine wraiths and malice's possession and the Withershadow combine with their dismantle rules.
That’s why I don’t use the them. Wish they’d given them something that works against hordes.
Mind you we did get Venethrax...

There is stuff like that in each and every faction both in Warmachine and in Hordes...
And all the examples that you gave are far from useless when fighting against Hordes factions!
Machine Wraiths make for great contesting models due to Incorporeal and the relative low amount of magic weapons in Hordes.
Malice's Possession is the least of its abilities, people take him because of the higher RAT and Drag, not because of Possession.
The same thing happens with the Withershadow, people take them mainly because of Unbinding and Puppet Master, Dismantle and Dark Industries are just perks...

The combo is useless, but I don't think anyone would argue against having
fast high DEF reach CMA models that have access to pathfinder and knockdown/
blast immunity and extra movement with two attacks, even against Hordes?

I said the abilities were usless not the models themselves.
You can make use of them still but I generally only make lists where everything works all the time. I don't like paying points for something that doesn't work all the way through the game the game :(

I don't like paying points for something that doesn't work all the way through the game the game :( So then you never use a model with soul collecting abilities against a purely Undead Cryx player? Or Tartarus? There are plenty of models who have abilities that don't work against certain builds. I don't see why one single ability not working would preclude bringing a model(with the exception of that ability being the ONLY reason to bring it, ala the Machine Wraith).

There's a massive difference between that and building a list with a combo that odds are <50% you will be able to make use of it :p

Raiders still bring allot more to the table than just the Feedback \ Backlash assassination threat.
