This. Definitely This. Without Z, you can't have a royal court, which I find too limiting in most of my lists.
When I take him I normally have a couple of options:
1) Z and Oby - take a barge for Z and put Oby in it. Put Z into a block of 10 Tesla immortals and play them aggressively. care is needed though, cos if the immortals get assaulted then Obyron will ditch the barge and jump to Z.
2) Most often, I put Z and V into a block of 5 S&B Lychguard. I use the unit as a mini deathstar, normally dropping it into the opponent backfield at the same time as a D&D unit.
One neat trick I picked up from Dakka, is to put Z into a Barge T1. Zoom the barge, cos when Oby does ghost walk mantle, he doesn't scatter if he lands within 6 inches of Z. You can then swap Oby into the barge.
So, at 2000pts, I take an overlord, Z (
CCB) and Oby together with 5 S&B lychguard. Start Z in the
CCB, Overlord and Oby in the lychguard. Zoom the Barge T1. T2, move the barge, ghost walk Oby and the lychguard (with overlord) - then swap Z for the Overlord. Greatly reduced risk of mishap and now you have a scythe overlord in the barge!
