I finish so few of these things! So here is another one. The Viking class assault walker (in ground mode, obviously )

Providing some covering fire from the remains of some unfortunate factory or hab block or something. Concrete was involved somewhere.

Very cool. Reminds me a bit of a Goliath from the first Starcraft. Is it meant to be part of an IG force?

Is that assembled from 40k bits, or is it from some other system? Either way, it looks really cool.

THIS IS AMAZING.

I was telling my buddy I thought the stormtalon itself looked kind of Star Craft-esque. Almost like a Goliath. (As mentioned above.)

But you nailed it on this conversion. That looks like a freaking Viking!

My only question is can GW come out with some Protoss looking fliers for the Eldar? (Bet you'd make a fine conversion with one of those too.....)

(On first look I assumed you had used some StormTalon parts....But looking again, maybe not?)

That is a very nice conversion, reminds me of ED-209 with the blank cockpit front. Very impressing!

I LOVE it. Fantastic work mate.

Those Armorcast muzzle flashes look great. Nice OSL, very convincing!

Fight or flight!? Yeah right!

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

Thanks for the kind comments, all. It was a fun build.

@Demetri - The Goliath hasn't been painted yet Its a Viking from SC2 and is part of my SC2 themed Deathwing army.

@Jimsolo - Its entirely 40k bits, with the exception of the armorcast muzzle flashes and the fairings on the engine at the back, which are bits of cut up pen. Also the cockpit is plasticard.

@Tpiddy - I made this months ago and only just got around to painting it, so no stormtalon bits used at all. Its mostly Dreadnought and Sentinel bits with the landspeeder missile pods and winglets.

Love the old school mech feel, but I think you might have wanted to get legs from a defiler or something a little beefier. Still looks awesome though!

Wow, that's looking very impressive! I like the muzzle flashes. Could you do a shot of it next to a tank so I can see the scale?

@Streamdragon - The legs are as close to the source material as I could find. Also I actually quite like the slightly slender legs under the bulk of the hull.

@Daedricbob - Ask and ye shall recieve. The closest tank I had was my Hydra conversion for my Guard. Handily its based on a Rhino hull that everyone knows the size of

The Viking is mostly made up of Dreadnought bits so its pretty much the same size. It might be a touch taller because of the different legs, however I like to think these legs might actually be capable of walking, unlike the standard Dreadnought legs

Dude I love this conversion! Those stubby legs on the original dreadnought have always driven me nuts. Someone had mentioned thinking the legs on your figure could be beefed up a little, don't know if you care, but here is a link to some one's page that has made a similar conversion and added a bit of extra armor, not that your model needs anything! It looks great as is, just thought I'd share.. (if nothing else its worth looking 'cause its another cool juggernought conversion).

That is also a really neat conversion. I added armour to the legs of the Goliath version, but the Viking in SC2 doesn't have heavy leg armour, hence neither does my Viking
